About the Halal Logistics Alliance
Connecting Standards, Infrastructure and Trade
The Halal Logistics Alliance is an institutional initiative established through the Islamic Economic Forum 2026 framework to support the development of integrated, standards-aligned Halal logistics infrastructure across OIC member states.
The Alliance focuses on a critical dimension of the global Halal economy: ensuring that the integrity of Halal products is preserved not only during production but throughout storage, transportation, cargo handling, distribution and cross-border delivery.
Through cooperation among governments, port authorities, logistics companies, financial institutions, certification bodies and technology providers, the Alliance aims to strengthen the systems that enable Halal goods to reach domestic and international markets with greater transparency, reliability and operational efficiency.

Our Background
The Halal Logistics Alliance emerged from the strategic discussions of the Islamic Economic Forum 2026, particularly Working Group 2 on Halal Logistics & Supply Chain, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 26 September 2026.
Its Founding Charter establishes a proposed institutional framework for standards implementation, port cooperation, infrastructure investment coordination and digital supply chain development.
The Alliance is designed to work in coordination with relevant Islamic Economy Week institutions and established standards frameworks, rather than create competing Halal logistics standards.
Our Vision
To contribute to a globally connected, transparent and standards-aligned Halal logistics ecosystem that protects Halal integrity and facilitates international trade.
Our Mission
To facilitate the implementation of relevant Halal logistics standards, strengthen international logistics cooperation, identify infrastructure development opportunities and advance digital supply chain transparency across participating markets.

Our Guiding Principles
Integrity Across the Supply Chain
Protecting the integrity of Halal goods throughout storage, transport, handling and distribution.
Standards-Based Implementation
Supporting implementation of applicable OIC/SMIIC Halal logistics requirements without duplicating the role of standards-setting and certification authorities.
International Cooperation
Building constructive partnerships between institutions, logistics operators and trade corridors.
Transparency and Accountability
Promoting measurable targets, progress reporting and responsible institutional governance.
Responsible Infrastructure Development
Encouraging coordinated investment in logistics infrastructure that supports reliable Halal supply chains.
Our Institutional Position
The Halal Logistics Alliance serves as a platform for coordination, implementation support, project identification and stakeholder cooperation. Its activities are intended to complement the responsibilities of standards bodies, national regulators, certification bodies and infrastructure operators.
The Alliance does not replace the statutory responsibilities of governments or the technical authority of the relevant standards and certification institutions.
